2/2/07 - Finally an update!
I have fallen a little behind, but here are results from both yesterday's meet and the Broken Pole Invite last week. Also Nancy Carlson was kind enough to take picture in Rochester yesterday, so make sure to check them out! Thanks Nancy!

Parent Meeting:
When: Tuesday, November 21st 7pm-8:30
Where: Middle School Room 215
Agenda: Elligibility Requirements, Schedule, Team Dinners, Equipment Rental, Fundraiser, Questions and Answers
We will have a short general meeting that will last about 30 minutes, then any new parents to the nordic program will meet for any questions.

Practice doesn't start until the 13th and already we have gotten time on snow. Check out pictures from this weeks trip to Trollhaugen.

There will be an informational meeting at 3 pm at the high school on Wednesday for all high schoolers interested in participating this year. It will take place in the upper cafeteria and should last about 30 minutes. If you are unable to make it send an email to the captains.

Captains practices will be starting Monday, the 30th, with offical practices stating two weeks later. Those interested should show up in the lower cafeteria at the High School dressed to run at 3:20 on the 30th. If you have any questions feel free to send an email to the captains.

Thank you to everyone that came and supported the team. We managed to raise over $900 with our 30 participents. The results have been made available online. I am not quite sure they are even close to being correct... my approch to timing was experimental and didn't prove to be all that successful. But there is plenty of time for me to develop a better method for next year.

The time has come for you (and every single person you can think of) to enter the first annual Ski-less Skedaddle 10K run & 5K fun run/walk. It is taking place on Saturday, August 5th and will function as a fundraiser for the team. Plus there is a pancake breakfast following the race. Registration forms are available in the entry way at Blue Monday or online.

After much delay, the season DVD will finally be available for $5 a piece, starting on Monday. If you are interested contact Nick Swanson or send an email to dvdsales@northfieldnordic.com.
